USDA loans are offered through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program. All properties must be located in designated rural communities. Depending upon which USDA program is being used, borrowers may have to meet strict income guidelines in order to be eligible. Such programs allow individuals or families to purchase their own home when all other products in the market where out of their financial reach.
The maximum income allowed to qualify for a USDA program is 115% of the Federally designated median income for the area. Income for that purpose must include all residents of the household, even if they are not purchasing or co-borrowing. To check the moderate income limit, visit the link below.
USDA allows full 100% financing, and above in special circumstances. Call us to find out if your household might qualify and to see if there are any designated rural areas that are convenient for your family.
